Oh man Oh Man this Sunday we kick off the road to WrestleMania with the Royal Rumble but this year history will be made. This year we will have 2 Royal Rumble matches. We have the traditional men’s 30 man Royal rumble and now for the 1st time ever we will have a 30 women over the top rope royal rumble match. The card this year doesn’t look very strong and that’s mostly due to the 2 rumbles that will most likely take up a lot of our time but I’m still super excited to see this event and see who will return, debut and win both of the rumbles. Match Predictions
Men’s Royal Rumble: A lot of potential winners but 1 superstar needs it the most and that man is Shinsuke Nakamura. He didn’t receive the best booking in 2017 after having an amazing run in NXT but this Sunday could change everything. We need a new face to win this match not an old one and Nakamura is my guy to win and go on to face AJ Styles at Mania. If you haven’t seen their match from NJPW please go watch it. It was nothing less than phenomenal. Nakamura wins by eliminating Finn Balor. Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura
Women’s Royal Rumble: The historic event that could go many ways. Fans are split about this match and so am I but I’m split between 2 people that could win this event. This should be an entertaining bout mainly because we are all wondering what legends will return to be a part of this match. Asuka is my pick to win this match. A title shot at WrestleMania seems nothing less than guaranteed for her and since she has beaten nearly everyone on the main roster I see no point for a #1 contenders match on Raw when we all know she will definitely win. At least her winning this way will be more entertaining. Asuka wins by eliminating my other possible winner Becky Lynch. Prediction: Asuka
Universal Championship Match- Brock Lesnar(c) vs Kane vs Braun Strowman: We all know that Brock and Roman is still set for WrestleMania but I think the WWE might be getting a change of heart to the hold idea. Braun looks really good and can be very entertaining with or without a title but I think it’s time the Monster Among Men gets what he deserves. I don’t care what WWE has planned I believe an upset will happen. Braun will capture his first singles title by pinning Kane to keep Lesnar looking strong. Prediction: Braun Strowman
WWE Championship Match- AJ Styles(C) vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (Handicap Match): A very interesting stipulation but it has happened before. I see no point in putting the titles on Sami and KO but it would be nice. Most likely this match will go like a lot of people are thinking with Sami and KO screwing each other over trying to get the pin for the titles. AJ will walk away with the title and go on to WrestleMania with it. Prediction: AJ Styles
Raw Tag Team Championship Match- Jason Jordan & Seth Rollins(C) vs The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro): The unlikely duo of Jason and Seth really needs to come to an end in my opinion. They should have just given Seth another singles push after Dean went down but hey we can’t all get what we want. I see this title run coming to an end and the titles will once again belong to the Bar. Prediction: The Bar
Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match- The Usos vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin (2 out of 3 falls): The Usos have been dominating the smackdown tag team division for a while now but Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin have been on a dominating as well as of late and look really good when facing the Usos. Chad Gable has really come into his own lately and even though he is partnered with Shelton Benjamin I am more excited for his singles run when the time comes. 2 out of 3 of those falls will go to Chad and Shelton and we will finally see new tag team champs. Prediction: Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin
US Title Open Challenge: This is not a bad idea at all with Bobby Roode being the new champ and all but we already know who is going to answer the call. Dolph Ziggler. He walked out a couple months back after winning the US title and WWE has been working us over ever since pretending like he doesn’t exist and moving on to another champ so easily. This might seem a little similar to when CM Punk walked out with the title and came back. Dolph Ziggler maybe making his return to the WWE but Sunday won’t be his night. His glory will come another night, maybe WrestleMania. The Glorious one will retain the title. Prediction: Bobby Roode
Match of the Night: Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match- The Usos vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin (2 out of 3 falls)
